Some time after John Raynes’ death in 2019, his family were approached by Jim O’Brien from Illustration magazine. Jim is a great admirer of John’s work and travelled across the country to visit his studio where he trawled through mountains of illustration work spanning the 1960s through to 2000.
The result of Jim’s hard work is the attached article published in the Summer 2021 edition of Illustration magazine. It is a fantastic celebration of the many years that John Raynes spent working as one of the top Illustrators in the country.
